What is the SEAI Grant?

The SEAI Grant is a range of grants available when you are looking to improve the energy efficiency of your home. They're available to both homeowners and landlords and are not subject to means testing.

What can the grants be used to pay for? Well, there's grants for:

  • Insulation grant,
  • Solar thermal installations,
  • Heat pump systems, and
  • Heating controls.

 

How do I apply for a Grant?

There's a few steps to applying for a grant. You have to find your contractor first, then apply for the grant before carrying out the work and you will be paid the grant money afterwards.

How much money is the grant worth?

The amount that the grant is worth depends on the type of home. See the table below for the breakdown.

Apartment (any) OR Mid-terrace House €2,750
Semi-detached OR End of terrace €4,500
Detached house €6,000
